· Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all MYCS consumers, striving to exceed their expectations for service, quality and individuality. Individuals shall be recognized for their valued role within the community.

· Assist in the development, planning, implementation and evaluation of customized individual or small group activities and instruction necessary to teach and expand skills for vocational readiness and employment-related social connections, promoting the participant’s self-determination and decision-making. Such activities can include, but are not limited to, resume writing, compiling job history information, mock interviewing, job searching, etc.

· Uses personal life experiences as a recipient of services, to role model recovery and establish trusting relationships with peers.

· Complete incident and other reports and documentation in accordance with agency/program policies and procedures.

· Demonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills when relating to participants, their families and team members as specified by program/agency policies; consistently prese4nt a professional demeanor in regard to dress and behavior.

· With input from Supported Employment Specialist, assist participants in formulating an carrying out goals. Goals should be directed toward competitive, integrated positions that are consistent with the principles and procedures of recovery and evidenced-based supported employment.

· Provides education and support to employers as agreed upon by participant, which may include negotiating job accommodations.

· Participates, as needed, in facilitating education activities within the business sector regarding the employment of individuals with disabilities.

· Acts to ensure safety of individuals, co-workers and self at all time by:

o Maintaining a clean hazard free environment

o Responding immediately to crisis situations; uses verbal management and physical intervention techniques when appropriate.

o Anticipates crisis effectively using knowledge of individuals lies/dislikes, stressors and communication style.

· Maintain confidentiality, particularly as it relates to activities in or with the community.

· Have knowledge of the WRAP and Advance Directives concepts and how they can enhance success with employment and education goals.

· When in the community, champion social skills and connectivity with real world experiences.

· Responsible for conducting activities independently during daylight, evening and weekend hours, as requ8ested.

· Lead informal/social discussion groups regarding employment and education topics and encourage participation.

· Drive agency vehicles while transporting consumers when required.
