As an Audit Summer Intern, you will work as a member of the engagement team and are responsible for a variety of assigned projects that assist with the completion of the engagement – mainly providing assurance on the client’s reported financial information. You will be part of a learning culture that values quality and integrity, where you’ll be supported by Schneider Downs professionals and will work directly with our clients.  

The summer session typically runs from mid-May until mid-August.

Schneider Downs has embraced the hybrid work model, so this role will have flexibility working from home, as well as in the office.

As an Audit Summer Intern, your responsibilities will include…

  • Perform financial statement audits, reviews and compilations in a variety of client industries 
  • Review and document audit procedures over complex areas of accounting
  • Research and analyze accounting and audit-related issues
  • Utilize data extraction, data analytics and data visualization tools to bring insight to clients
  • Proactively interact with engagement team to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements

As an Audit Summer Intern, you will have…

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
  • Graduation date no later than 2025 academic year
  • A preferred overall GPA of 3.3 (3.0 minimum)
  • Must meet CPA license eligibility requirements (i.e., 150 credit hours) upon graduation

Job Summary: 

Assist the Club Prophet LLC Credit Team in the timely and successfuly implementation of the ProphetPay credit card processing platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with ensuring all clients being boarded onto ProphetPay have the following prerequisites fulfilled:
    • Updated software version (3.102 frozen or higher)
    • Opened ports for online V5 access and migrator access
    • Online V5 setup
    • Acceptable hardware
  • Assist with scheduling updates
  • Relay information to Project Management regarding the need for hardware upgrade purchases
  • Take calls concerning ProphetPay reporting inquiries regarding Merchant Track access

The Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program is an exciting opportunity for students of all majors to gain professional experience in the federal government. Since 2022, the program leads diverse young talent to government and offers students the opportunity to apply their educational training to work in a federal agency.

Candidates select two career tracks (listed below) that align most closely with their interests and skills.

Public Administration

May include positions in finance, human resources, management/administration, or similar fields.

Science, Mathematics and Engineering

May include positions in the fields of science and health, engineering and math. This track is open to candidates from technical backgrounds.

Government Contracting and Acquisition

May include positions relating to federal contracting and acquisition, procurement, and business.

Liberal Arts

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS - Spring 2024 PA House Legislative Fellowship Program

 


The Pennsylvania House of Representatives Legislative Fellowship Program is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2024 semester. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us recruit applicants for the program! Applications are due on October 1, 2023.

 

Our 13-week Fellowship Program is based in Pennsylvania’s magnificent Capitol Building in Harrisburg. Fellows are assigned to work in House Standing Committees or House Leadership offices, are compensated for their work (which may also include college credit), and are provided the opportunities to draft and present their own legislation, attend meet-and-greets with various public officials and staff, and tour some of the Commonwealth’s historic public spaces, to name a few.

 

Qualified applicants will be:

  1. College undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or law school students;
  2. Enrolled in a Pennsylvania college/university, or a Pennsylvania resident enrolled in an out-of-state institution; and
  3. Pursuing any major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
