Job Description: WTAE-TV is looking for a smart, creative and fluid producer. Are you the very best producer in your market? Do you design a vision for the day and newscast and spend your day making that pay off? Are you creative, resourceful and very well-read? That's what we're looking for-someone who prides him/herself on great writing, showcasing and news judgment. You will craft shows at the station with a history of winning National Murrow Awards, National Headliner Awards, a Peabody and more. Show us a demo where you take a typical day and put all your skills to work making appointment television come alive. Applicants must be able to multitask in an intense creative environment – while putting accuracy first. They should also have a track record of conceptualizing, creating and implementing modern graphics, pre-production, and non-linear video. This position also involves story research with little or no supervision. Must be able to work with people, delegate workload and manage resources. | |
Experience:
Experience Requirements: • Previous television newsroom experience preferred. | |
Requirements:
Qualifications Requirements: • Work varied shifts – early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends included. • Drive station vehicles (Valid Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Check required). • Deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production. • Must be well-versed in local and national news stories. Education: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. | |
