Associates Degree in either Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electrical Engineering, or similar on the job training, must be mechanically oriented. The applicant will be expected to relocate to the DuBois, PA area. Extensive travel is required. Must have valid drivers license with clean driving record, pass a criminal background check, and be able to obtain Act 151, Act114 and Act 34 clearances.

Manufacturing Engineer position in Vandergrift

Our client needs a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Vandergrift. We’re looking for a professional with highly developed leadership qualities and the ability to work efficiently and within budget. The Manufacturing Engineer would plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing processes for medical device products. They would support Operations in a way to assure that a quality product is produced in a timely manner. Recent grads are encouraged to apply. [EMET would be an appropriate major.]
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements
  • Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
  • Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas
  • Define equipment maintenance requirements

  • Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems
  • Train all relevant personnel on new processes
  • Work with management to establish project timeliness, project justification and budget forecasts
Qualifications of the Manufacturing Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering or related field or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background
  • Must be able to work alone and on teams with good interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to focus on all details and requirements of current medical product development
