IT Internship


IT Internship – Available immediately, PAID – start now continue in spring

Reports to:  Manager, Information Technology

Description

The IT internship will be part of the IST Service Desk, review incoming service requests, and provides support to internal associates in a global environment

Responsibilities

Performs PC setup and software installation.
Perform initial user provisioning, archiving, and deletions.
Performs first level service and application troubleshooting and resolution and monitors case tracking system and escalates issues as appropriate.
Documents Service Desk procedures and case resolutions.
Maintain and track IT assets related to Service Desk activities.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an Information Technology and Services, and/or Computer Sciences program. Minimum of 3.0 GPA required.

Experience

Knowledge in troubleshooting and identifying PC hardware and applications issues.
Knowledge with general networking concepts and PC configuration.
Knowledge with various PC applications, and Microsoft Operating systems.
Experience with audio and video equipment a plus.

Skills

Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate equally well with user community and internal IST staff.
Passion for learning new technologies and applying new knowledge experiences.
Highly energetic, flexible and self motivated with attention to details.
