Hologic is seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer (FSE) to be based in, or near Erie, PA. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Conducts advanced troubleshooting to repair, test and qualify instruments located at assigned territory sites.
·         Provides 24/7 coverage to customers within 24 hours of notification.
·         Schedules and manages preventive maintenance and unscheduled visits to instrument sites.
·         Determines correct inventory levels of repair parts with supply lines.
·         Documents repair/ resolution of customer calls in CRM system and escalates issues to management as needed.
·         Works with Product Application Engineers to resolve quality issues and advise of issues and developments.
·         Keep management advised of issues and developments.
·         Ensure instrumentation is in compliance with regulatory requirements and quality control standards.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
·         Working knowledge of chemistry principles and chemical handling techniques.
·         Understanding of proper use and operation of electronic testing equipment.
·         Knowledge of inventory and procurement systems.
·         Ability to interface with internal and/or external customers.
·         Solid computer skills.
·         Time Management Skills
·         Strong robotics, fluidics and pneumatics experience preferred.
·         Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
·         Possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.

Education:
·         BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
·         AA/AS degree and/or practical Military experience considered.

Experience:
·         0 - 2 years related field experience with direct customer interaction, preferably in a laboratory setting.

Additional Details:
·         This person will work out of a home based office
·         Position will require 75% plus travel
·         There will be on-call duties
·         Overnight stays could be 3 to 4 nights a week

AmeriCorps positions available at Bucknell University


Greetings all,

The Bucknell University Office of Civic Engagement is seeking candidates for two full-time AmeriCorps members for the 2017-18 program year. 
A federal program sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service, AmeriCorps is a fantastic opportunity for students wishing to take a "gap year", for recent graduates seeking real-world experience before transitioning to graduate school or a career position, or for anyone eager to make a positive, tangible community impact.

These positions will run from August 22, 2017, to August 3, 2018. Members will receive a living stipend of $12,900 and a basic health insurance policy, and will receive an education award of $5,775 after successful completion of 1700 hours of service (this award may be applied to past, present, or future tuition costs or student loans). The following positions are available:

Food Access Coordinator

The Food Access Coordinator will assist the Lewisburg Community Garden (LCG) in advancing its goals of providing low-cost garden plots for rent to local individuals, families, or groups, growing organic produce to donate to area hot meal and food security programs, and offering increased educational opportunities that emphasize sustainability, nutrition, organic growing practices, and environmental stewardship. The Food Access Coordinator will also assist with recruiting volunteers and planning and preparing meals for 70-100 patrons at the free weekly Community Harvest hot meal program in Milton, and coordinating the Snack Pack program, which serves monthly brown bag meals to approximately 80 children per month in the Lewisburg Area School District.

Youth Outreach Coordinator

The Youth Outreach Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Office of Civic Engagement and university departments to provide academic support and enrichment activities for youth at two affordable housing complexes in Lewisburg, to organize tutoring assistance to students learning English as a second language, and to work with student volunteers to increase their understanding of local needs in a diverse community. This individual will focus on educational outreach, providing coordination and training to volunteers who perform community service, and documenting the impact of these efforts.
