CNED 280: "From College to Career: Building Skills and Experience for Career Success"
This is a once-a-week career planning and goal-setting course while also helping you prepare for professional interactions and networking as you get ready to search for internships, jobs and future careers.
YOU WILL:
- Build confidence in your own career choices and set short- and long-term career planning goals
- Present yourself positively and professionally as you interact with alumni and industry representatives
- Learn about the core career competencies which are the foundations for successful student transition to the workplace
- Hear from guest presenters in a variety of career fields will speak on the competencies with relevant examples from the workplace
- Rehearse, practice and grow in networking and interviewing skills with alumni and professionals
- Create an effective resume, application letter and LinkedIn profile
