About the Job

Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh's IT Department seeks a technology support specialist. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer and peripheral equipment, including (but not limited to): desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, point-of-sale stations, card readers, and operating system and application software.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Prefer Associate of Science Degree and 2-4 years professional/
technical experience installing and troubleshooting networked computer systems and desktop applications. Strong Windows XP/7 and Microsoft Office experience is a must. Experience with Linux (Unix) and Apple OS Platforms is preferred. Experience with client virtualization is a plus. Position requires a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between locations. Position requires the physical ability to lift 40-60 pounds unassisted; climb and work on ladders; reach, stretch and stoop; work with hands above shoulder level and work in enclosed, cramped places.
