IT Intern With Smith Micro Software

Overview / Role:
Smith Micro Software is in search for an IT Intern who will respond to all requests for desktop and technical support. The intern will be responsible for supporting the end users on a variety of issues - including Windows, MAC and LINUX Operating Systems
 
Experience / Skills Required:
  • Provide level 1 support for Cisco LAN, WAN & wireless network, TelePresence and IP Phones
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors each problem to ensure a timely resolution
  • Installs and configures workstations
  • Solutions-oriented self starter with a collaborative orientation, able to work well in a team and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Understanding of local area networks and basic knowledge of Linux
  • Ability to work with diverse, global, multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems, gathering and analyzing information skillfully to develop appropriate solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills, with an ability to communicate clearly to diverse audiences
Education Required:
Current enrollment at a University/College with advanced coursework in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
