Public Relations Intern
Position
Type: Part-time (20 hours/week- Flexible work schedule) Potential for additional
hours and/or extended program.

to Title: Executive Communications Coordinator
Salary:
$12.00/hour
MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Junior or senior level undergraduate working towards Bachelors Degree or Public
Relations, Marketing, or Communications. City of Pittsburgh resident preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Post regular updates on Authority website and social media outlets
including Twitter and Facebook.
Review local media websites and distribute information as needed
Assist in creation and distribution of press releases
Assist Executive in daily responsibilities
Contribute to administrative tasks & functions within the office
Return phone calls
Letter writing
Continuously work to upgrade knowledge and skills
Willingness to
continually educate yourself on all facets of public relations, communications,
television, radio and social media.
Assist and attend events (The Pittsburgh Marathon, Conference, Business
Expo, etc.)
Work in a proactive manner, always anticipating information needed
externally and internally
Perform other related duties as assigned
