Quality Assurance Intern With Smith Micro

Overview / Role:

Smith Micro’s Quality Engineering lab is current seeking an intern in its Pittsburgh, PA office to work on cutting edge mobile products.

Experience / Skills Required:

Responsibilities: Execute both manual and automated test cases. Log test failures into the internal ticket tracking system. Work directly with other members of the QE and Development teams to troubleshoot complex issues. Assist other QE team members in writing automated test cases.  Requirements: Excellent written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on concise technical communication. Excellent ability to troubleshoot complex problems. Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking. Working knowledge of JAVA programming. Ability to work at least 20 hours per week. Preferred skills: Working knowledge of CDMA/GSM/LTE mobile networks. Experience with JIRA or other defect tracking tools. Experience with Spira Team or other test case management tools. Good understanding of WiFi technologies

Education Required:

Currently working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other technologies field.
