460- acres of ridges, valleys,
ponds, streams and trails cover the property of YMCA Camp Mason. We are located in northwestern New Jersey just
outside the 70,000-acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, one of the
last true wilderness areas in the northeastern United States. This setting affords us almost limitless
opportunities to engage in outdoor adventure and promote living well together.
YMCA
Camp Mason has been building character since 1900 with a unique blend of
adventure and traditional summer camp emphasizing the values of caring,
honesty, respect and responsibility. Mason features modernized facilities, a
wide variety of activities, and a unique, multi-cultural community.
Available Positions:
Cabin Counselors, Program Staff (Nature,
Ropes, Farm & Garden, Arts & Crafts, Trips Leader, Trips Staff-2, etc),
Lifeguards, Nurses, Activity Specialists: archery, riflery, basketball,
canoeing, mountain biking, pottery, soccer, high ropes, low ropes, nature,
dance, drama, boating, fishing, arts & crafts, skateboarding, hockey,
outdoor skills, western horseback riding, and more!
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong leadership skills and a
professional character that is consistent, capable, self-directed, well
organized, flexible, personable, and is able to maintain composure in a
changing environment
Experience working
at a camp or residential education center, leading related activities
The
ability to complete the full term of the position
Preferred:
First
Aid & CPR certificationWilderness First Aid certification
Lifeguard certification
Belay experience or interest in learning
Valid driver’s license and clean record a plus
Compensation, Benefits & Housing: Room & Board and cafeteria style meals are provided. Salary is commensurate with experience. Workman’s Compensation Insurance provided to all staff.
