Information Technology Coordinator

The Bethel Park School District is seeking a talented individual to serve as its Information Technology Coordinator. In this newly established position, the IT Coordinator would provide hands on, day-to-day administration, support and maintenance of the school districts IT infrastructure, systems and asset management, including its 4,900 pieces of IT equipment.
The key responsibilities and duties include:
Deployment and Oversight of IT Staff
- Assigning and deploying technician staff to the applicable IT work Prioitizing, tracking and verifying the assigned work
Development and Training of IT Staff and others
- Conducts knoweldge and skill traning needs analyses for technician staff; Designs and delivers traning technician staff ; Provides supplemental training to teachers, secretaires, and principals
IT Troubleshooting
- Assists in the resolution of difficult IT related problems (hardware, software, training related), beyond the scope of the technician staff IT Work Processes and Infrastructure
- Works with technician staff to proceduralize and document common tasks
IT Reporting, Documentation and Data Management
- Coordinates IT project work - Tracks and maintains IT equipment inventory
- Management of PA Information Management System (PIMS)


Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 3 or more years of IT experience, including troubleshooting and coaching and development of technicians and other IT related personnel
• IT knowledge and expertise to be able to become proficient in the following areas
- ProSoft student management system
- EdInsinght, Bus Boss, AlertNow, LiveLink, GradeQuick Web,
• Comprehensive knowledge of Excel data manipulation functions including
- ability to import/export data in a variety of formats and file types
- ability to create/maintain spreadsheets with basic math formulas
• Very strong knowledge of Access with regards to importing and linking to Excel, relating tables and merging with Word docs to create and update mailings
• Strong knowledge of other software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer
• IT process management, people management and training, development and delivery skills to include:
- IT expertise necessary to troubleshoot and resolve difficult computer hardware, software problems
- Ability to develop IT work process maps and document IT word procedures and common tasks
- Ability to coach and work with non-union IT technicians and unionized computer technology paraprofessionals
- Ability to conduct skill and training needs analyses for IT technicians and computer technology paraprofessionals; Ability to design and deliver necessary IT related for technicians, computer technology paraprofessionals and teachers
- Ability to determine and prioritize the necessary work for technicians and related personnel and assign work
