Information Technology Technician

The Bethel Park School District is one of the top performing school districts in western Pennsylvania. The Bethel Park School District is seeking a talented individual to join its IT team as an IT Technician. In this capacity, the individual would inventory, install, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot the school districts IT equipment (over 4,000 pieces) and software at its 10 building locations. The key responsibilities and duties include:- Preventive maintenance on PCs, MACbooks and lap tops- Troubleshoots PCs and MACbooks- Identifies and rectifies common hardware problems using software and hardware diagnostic tools- Install various types of software on district computers using imaging and ghosting techniques - Printer maintenance - Fixed projector an accessory installation such as interactive white boards, LCD projectors and wireless access points- user account maintenance, creation, deletion and problem resolution

Requirements:

- A.S. Degree or higher on a computer techology, IT or a related field- 1- 3 years of experience performing IT related in a larger, muilplte site organization employing a large volume and variety of IT related hardware and softwate-Certifications in Microsoft Excel or Access preferred- High level of competency wtih Excel and Access required- CISCO certification preferred- Valid drivers license and vehicle to travel to multiple school locationsThe IT Technician is part of a three step ladder progression in which an employee can be promoted to a higher level based on knowledge and skill acquisition, development and usage.The Bethel Park School District provides a stable working environment, competitive wage and an excellent benefits package including a defined benefit retirement plan.
