Summary of Position: This position is responsible for
the prompt and accurate inspection of parts to insure compliance with customer
requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Incumbent performs
inspections (first, final and
in-process pieces) and qualifies new tooling using the OGP.
- Programs the OGP to
perform inspections.
- Acts as a technical
advisor interacting with manufacturing personnel to investigate and
resolve quality problems during the production run.
- This position serves as
back-up to the Packaging and Shipping Clerk.
- Comply with ISO 9001.
- Performs all activities in
a safe manner consistent with safety requirements.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum
of an associate degree in engineering or technical field.
2. 1
to 3 years experience preferred.
3. Working
knowledge of ISO 9001.
4. Proficient
in reading prints and understand terminology.
5. Familiarity
with Statistical Process Control, Gauge R & R, and capability studies.
6. Ability
to multi-task and prioritize work.
7. Proficient
with MS Office
8. Minitab
experience a plus
9. Team
player. Ability to communicate and work
with shop floor personnel.
10. Motivated,
willing to learn.
