OBJECTIVE This position provides primary sponsorship sales and service support to ImaginePittsburgh.com, a regional talent attraction and retention initiative of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. This position supports all sponsorship outreach, acquisition and recruitment activities related to the web platform and related events and marketing. This temporary one-year assignment (with the possibility of term renewal or conversion to full time) reports to the Senior Director, Investor Relations; it is primarily commission driven. |
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sponsorship Development Researches, qualifies and develops pool of prospective employer/sponsors for ImaginePittsburgh.com, responds to all inquiries from prospective employer/prospects and provides after sales service and support to sponsors.
Recruits employer/sponsors and advertisers of products and/or services for ImaginePittsburgh.com.
Serves as key point of contact with sponsors on matters relative to talent attraction and retention initiatives Shares findings related to talent issues that arise in sponsor meetings with the Workplace team, and proactively promotes connection to regional workforce efforts where possible.
Ensures accuracy of Conference sponsorship sales summaries so that Conference executive management and accounting department has up-to-date information on sponsorship and advertising sales.
Supports Senior Director, Investor Relations in developing and sale of sponsorship packages for programs and events, especially those related to talent attraction and retention.
Coordinates the execution of all sponsorship agreements.
Sponsorship Fulfillment / Retention Maintains relationship with employer/sponsors and advertisers to maximize potential for retention.
Serves as the liaison between the employer/sponsors and advertisers and the Investor Relations and Communications staff members responsible for fulfilling sponsor and advertiser benefits.
Serves as point of contact on select mailings and email communications to to sponsor constituents.
Contributes to the efficiency of the organization by performing other duties and participating in special projects, as assigned.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Education: | Bachelor’s degree in business administration or communications or equivalent experience required. |
Knowledge: | Familiarity with project management and project reporting in CRM required. Familiarity with accounting procedures (including fund accounting) desirable. Some familiarity with public policy, workforce, and economic development issues in southwestern Pennsylvania desirable. |
Experience: | At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative management, sponsorship or advertising sales, or fundraising required. |
Skills: | Excellent writing, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to balance multiple priorities, working independently or participate as part of a cross-functional team, keeping others informed through clear written and verbal communication while maintaining high level of productivity. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong attention to details and deadlines. Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Proficiency in MS Office suite. |
