EMET Summer Internship with Bayer Healthcare-Medrad

Bayer Healthcare, in Indianola, is engaged in a top priority program to prepare Bayer’s high technology Medical Equipment for sale in Europe after the 2014 “RoHS deadline.”

To meet this deadline, we require a summer student or intern in our Engineering Department to help research and document all components used in this Medical Equipment.
These components are both electrical and mechanical in nature, so it occurs to us that students in your B.S. in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology program would be perfect candidates for this position.

The successful candidate could start immediately part-time, then transition to full-time after the current semester is finished. There may be continuing part-time work available in the fall of this year.

·         Candidates should be in the third or fourth year of your BSEMET program.
·         All candidates should have completed your program’s entire EET sequence and the CMPET sequence, and should have finished several EMET courses.
·         We understand many of your students already have an AA/AS and industrial experience. This would be a plus.

Graduates of the BSEMET program can also apply, but with the understanding this is a temporary/internship opportunity, with compensation appropriate for a summer student or intern.
NICET Certification would be a plus for any graduate applicant.

A description of the position can be found here:

Application (or “tell a friend”) can be made at top left on the webpage.

This posting asks for an Electrical Engineering student, but we will certainly accept applicants from Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology.

This position will close very soon.  Please apply as soon as possible!
