Junior Application Developer
Pittsburgh
Overview
Entry level position that
will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle
including: requirements gathering, design, development, unit testing, and
documentation for all Paragon applications. This includes creating new and
maintaining existing Windows and Web applications as well as Win/Web services.
Primary Accountabilities
·
Maintain existing suite of VB/ASP.NET Windows and Web applications
·
Create new Windows and Web applications based on documented
requirements (VB/ASP .NET, C#)
·
Complete and log project estimates for development deliverables
and tasks
·
Manage Team Foundation Server (TFS) Product and Sprint Backlog Items
for assigned tasks
·
Complete unit testing and change control documentation for all
application updates
·
Maintain architecture and development team documentation
·
Write
Structured Query Language (SQL) commands, stored procedures and functions to
access/transfer data in and out of the database
·
Participate
in database architecture and schema review along with database team and with
other business groups
·
Participate and lead code review sessions
·
Establishes
priorities for multiple projects based on timeliness, importance, and urgency.
Requirements
Bachelors degree
or equivalent experience. Approximately
1+ years of application programming, experience using VB.NET or C#.
Ideal candidates will also have experience with: WinForms, Microsoft ASP.NET,
and XML. Working
knowledge of the following also preferred:

Experience working with object oriented programming and extending n-tier
architectures
·
Experience utilizing Visual Studio 2008 or 2010
·
Experience utilizing Microsoft Team Foundation Services (TFS)
·
Proficiency using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008
·
Knowledge of CSLA.NET architecture or equivalent object oriented
framework
·
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
·
Knowledge of third-party application controls (Infragistics)
·
Knowledge of third-party code generation tools (CodeGen)
·
Knowledge of UML
