Junior Database
Developer

Overview
Design,
implement and maintain databases with respect to ETL, backup methods,
validation checks and reorganization.
This is an entry level position with SQL development and administration
responsibilities.
Primary
Accountabilities
·
Maintain
database dictionaries; backup/recovery methods and procedures
·
Maintain
access and permission of database users.
Process day-to-day database change requests
·
Write
Structured Query Language (SQL) commands, extended stored procedures and SSIS
packages to access/transfer data in and out of the database
·
Diagnose
system problems relating to database system and operating system of database
·
Document
database, backup, and security to Information Systems standards
·
Participates
in database architecture and schema review within database group, along with
development staff and with other business groups
·
Create
SQL Server Reporting Services reports
·
Maintain
and monitor SQL Servers at disaster recovery site
·
Auditing
and enforcing source control
·
Proven
presentation skills to support all levels of clients and users both internal
and external
·
Accountable
for continuous learning of the industry, user communities, and one’s profession
to remain competitive and knowledgeable
·
Establishes
priorities for multiple projects based on timeliness, importance, and urgency.
Requirements
Bachelors degree or
equivalent experience. Approximately 1+ years of SQL
programming experience and equivalent coursework in a relational database
environment. Ability to work in all
phases of database management.

Experience
using Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, MS SQL Server
Database 2005/2008, SQL Reporting Services 2005/2008 and SQL Server Integration
Services (SSIS)
·
Prefer
experience with:

Red
Gate SQL Tools (SQL Backup, Compare, Data Compare, Source Control)

Double-Take
Availability software
o
Team
Foundation Server (TFS)
o
SQL
Performance monitoring software (Solarwinds / SQL Trace)
