Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is located in Monroeville, PA (east of Pittsburgh). We are looking for contract specialist interns and one Program/System Analyst intern (Supply Chain majors?) for the summer of 2013. BPMI is a government contractor for the Navy and because we require a security clearance, we look to have offers out to interns by the end of November. I’m looking to obtain resumes rather quickly. The internship is paid and usually starts in the May-June time frame until August. The following is a list of our criteria:
· U.S. Citizen
· 3.0 GPA or above
· Student needs to have 1 year left of schooling (either undergrad or grad)
· Business Major
Below is a description of each position.
Contract Specialist:
Perform contract administration and negotiation duties which include: being the focal point for company and supplier communications (oral and written); keeping contracts on schedule by resolving contract issues quickly, expediting supplier and company personnel; processing, controlling, and maintaining contract file documentation; recommend bidders, issue inquiries, negotiate bids, perform cost and price analysis, and prepare comprehensive letters to the customer to justify recommended contract actions.
Program/System Analyst:
Application programming to support and/or improve Company operations. Conduct systems design and analysis work involving much user interaction and some formal letter writing to internal and external customers.
Assist in the research, design, development, modification, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software (i.e., applications and/or systems) and maintain/enhance existing applications. Interface with user representatives or project development personnel to define the application functional requirements, requested enhancements, or potential solution to user problems with the application or system
