Company Description: De-Cal, Inc. is a Mechanical Contractor servicing the automotive, health care, commercial, wastewater treatment, & steel industries. We have offices in Detroit & Warren, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Youngstown, Ohio and offer service to Southeastern Michigan, Northern Ohio, and western Pennsylvania.

Job Description: Supports company operations for mechanical, process piping, plumbing and HVAC scopes of work for commercial, industrial and municipal projects.
Duties include but not limited to :   
•Downloads, converts, and/or prints out engineering documents, usually in electronic formats, from CD's, DVD's, websites, ftp sites, etc..
•Assists estimating & engineering functions by creating & storing files, documents, spreadsheets, drawings, etc. utilizing: AutoCAD, QuickPen, Microsoft products, etc.
•Performs and tracks Technical Submittal Process
•Supports management by developing and maintaining Requests For Information (RFI) reports, and other files as requested. 
•Supports Installation Crews by providing information, drawings, sketches, problem-solving, etc. in a timely fashion to maintain project schedule and optimize productivity.
•Assists Estimating and other home office departments when not project assigned.

Requirements: . Basic understanding in Drafting/ Design, Mechanical Construction and/or an AS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 
•Skills include the ability to read, interpret and comprehend engineering specifications, drawings, process design drawings (PFD's, P&ID's), Equipment Data Sheets, etc.
•Reviewing and analyzing complex bills of materials & specifications, to assure that procured items meet project requirements. 
•Ability to enter data into a combination of spreadsheet and database software programs and create useful information from raw data submitted by others on the team.
•Good verbal and written communications skills, including electronic transmission of data utilizing ftp sites, e-mail, internet, etc. Ability to communicate with tradesmen, engineers, and management. 
•Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, job-site environment.
•Ability and desire to be trained and/or mentored in all aspects of mechanical, process piping, plumbing & similar systems.

While this is initially an office-based position, the successful candidate must be able & willing to eventually report to project sites / construction projects as needed.
