Summary

UPMC Health Plan is hiring full time temporary Customer Service Representatives to help support the award winning Member Services Department located in downtown Pittsburgh. The Customer Service Representative acts as an advocate for UPMC Health Plan customers (member, provider, facilities, etc.) by providing guidance, interpretation, and education on benefit coverage levels, claims payment, and various program inquires. This position will be working varying shifts Monday through Saturday between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm, including holidays. Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming inquiries from UPMC Health Plan customers
  • Conduct outbound calls to clarify follow up and resolve inquiries from customers
  • Document inquires in accordance with UPMC Health Plan Customer Service Center guidelines
  • Follow up on and document actions required to service inquiry from UPMC Health Plan customers
  • Investigate inquiries from UPMC Health Plan customers
  • Provide exemplary customer service by being proactive and responsive to all UPMC Health
  • Remain current on all departmental policies, procedures, plan benefit designs, and modifications

 

Basic Qualification

  • High school graduate or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • Proficient in typing required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheet program preferred
