The PA Department of Agriculture has one vacancy for Domestic Animal Health Inspector Note: This position is located in in Tunkhannock, but the employee will be responsible for Region 3, which covers Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.



Starting Salary: $40,039 and excellent benefits!

 Applicants must be PA residents, pass the civil service exam for Domestic Animal Health Inspector, and meet the following requirements: Graduation from an approved Veterinary Medical Technology Training program and two (2) years of experience in the raising or handling of animals used for a variety of commercial purposes including food animals and farm animals; OR a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Animal Science, Dairy Science, Poultry Science, or a closely related area with at least 16 credits in animal science; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Applicants must also meet the following Necessary Special Requirements:  Certification as a Poultry Technician or the ability to gain certification during the probationary period.  Possession of a valid class C driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of PA.
