The Pittsburgh Film Office offers unpaid fall, spring, and summer internships to college or graduate students who will receive credit from their college or university.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
To provide administrative support for non-profit economic development agency promoting the Southwestern PA region to the film industry

SKILLS
Computer literacy, organizational capabilities, initiative, telephone experience

WORK PERFORMED
- Field incoming phone calls
- Follow-through with requests for information on Pittsburgh
- Scan digital photos and assist in maintenance of location photograph filing system
- Read daily newspapers and trade magazines for articles for clipping report, PFO board books, and assist in development calls to production companies
- Make deliveries to production offices, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assistance with fundraising events

PROJECT
Each intern will work together with Film Office staff to determine an individual project to be completed upon the end of the term. Interns will have time during internship hours to complete the project.  Some examples of past projects are: design door-hanger brochure to be distributed throughout communities in which filming is taking place; design of the marketing packet, complete a 15 city/four year comparison on the film industry, web site development, surveys of production industry, develop silent auction for fundraising event, etc.

SCHEDULE
To be determined by intern coordinator, looking for a minimum of 12-15 hours per week for a minimum of three months. Negotiable.

CREDIT NOTE
Student must receive college credit for internship

Allied Integrated Marketing is looking for outgoing, organized & reliable undergraduates or recent graduates to staff local promotional efforts in Pittsburgh. Interns will be compensated per event.

DESCRIPTION
-Implement promotions on site & staff events
-Assist in organizing and implementing promotional screenings
-Service outlets with promotional materials

CRITERIA
-Must be an undergraduate student or recent graduate majoring in Marketing/Communications
-Must commit to working nights and weekends for events when applicable
-Must have access to a digital camera & computer

"Robinson" is a short suspense/thriller being shot in Oakland over February and March. We are looking to fill a medium sized cast of male and female roles - all characters are college students. There are also several scenes that will require a large amount of Extras.

Friday, Feb. 10th 12:00p - 3:00p

Casting for Anima, a black and white 16mm short film about two men who have pulled off a botched robbery, one mortally wounded, who hole up in the home of a country veterinarian. Shooting this winter near Pittsburgh, PA.

Seeking—Lowell: male, 30s-40s, average build, a man who's spent his life in and out of prison, the "leader" of the two and is now responsible for his friend's state, at the end of his line and he knows it; Broadwater: male, 65+, thin to medium build, conservative, a mostly retired country doctor leading a simple life; David: male, early 20s, thin build, a troubled youth who has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
