Behavior Specialist Consultant and Mobile Therapist

Company Overview

Wesley Spectrum Services, located in Southwestern Pennsylvania, is a regional human services
organization with headquarters in the Pittsburgh area. We work for over 3,000 children and over 7,000
family members in our unique school, mental health, and family programs. It is our mission to provide
transformational support for children and families as they strive to become more independent, responsible
and caring members of the community. We also strive to create a work environment that is positive and
rewarding for its employees; a setting where growth, teamwork, diversity, health and safety are means to
meet the charge of our mission.

Position Description

Currently, Wesley Spectrum is seeking highly motivated Behavior Specialist Consultant and Mobile
Therapist applicants to work in our Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services Program with children
and adolescents with an autism spectrum diagnosis. We are seeking candidates with primarily evening
availability. Weekend hours are also available.

BSC and MT staff serve the entire Pittsburgh Region, including Allegheny, Butler, Westmoreland, and
Washington counties. We currently have a need for staff to serve clients in the North Hills, Cranberry
Township, Gibsonia, Butler, Airport/Robinson, Sewickley, South Hills, Canonsburg, Washington,
Wilkinsburg, Cheswick, Fox Chapel, Monroeville areas.  The office locations for attending supervision,
training, and turning in required paperwork are in Gibsonia, Penn Hills, and Canonsburg.

The Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC), in collaboration with other members of the treatment
team, designs and directs the implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan which is
individualized to each child or adolescent and to family needs.  The Behavioral Specialist Consultant
identifies behavioral goals and intervention techniques, and recommends non-aversive behavioral change
methods.  While maintaining some direct contact with child and family, the Behavior Specialist Consultant
primarily provides assessment such as program design and monitoring rather than direct therapy.  The
Behavioral Specialist Consultant is expected to participate in Inter-Agency Service Planning Team (ISPT)
meetings.  When questions or conflict around behavioral paradigms arise in other systems, such as
school or other community, the BSC may participate as a consultant in special child-centered, family
focused meetings along with the therapist.

The Mobile Therapist (MT), provides intensive therapeutic services to a child and family in settings other
than a provider agency or office. The primary setting for services is expected to be the child's home.
Other potential settings for the mobile therapist's services include the school, the church, the community
center, a neighbor’s or extended family member's home, and other community settings as appropriate.
Services provided by a mobile therapist vary according to the individualized needs of a child and family.
The MT will also provide (A&A) Assessment and Assistance for incoming TSS.
