Title	Entry-level IT: Operations and Security

Description	Highmark is looking for highly motivated individuals who want to join a market leader and get a jumpstart on an exciting career in information technology. This entry-level position is for those wanting to embark on a career in data center operations, network services, telecommunications, desktop services, or security. Applicants must possess an ability to work with detailed technology information.   Individuals applying to this position may be assigned to one of the following disciplines within IT operations and security: * Desktop Services - Configure and install software for desktops and laptops. Conduct research to establish an optimum performance image for approved software. Manage PC inventory and ensure software compliance. * Network Services - Provide production support of telecommunications (CTI, IVR, call recording, etc), complex call center solutions (ACD call routing), system applications, data networking (routers, switches, firewalls, etc), and telephony infrastructure. * Data Center Operations - Provide 24x7x365 support of the data center. Implement and manage best practice solutions for processes such as release management, change management, incident reporting, and problem resolution. Provide first level call center support for all information technology issues for internal employees and external business partners. * Security & Compliance - Ensure that Highmark systems are protected from unauthorized use, modification or destruction through the enforcement of comprehensive policies and procedures. Establish and manage an overall security program for the protection of Highmark's computer, network and information assets. Job Requirements: * Must have US citizenship. * Must have achieved an overall GPA of 3.0 in their most recently completed degree program. A GPA of 3.5 is preferred. * A 4-year degree is preferred but not required. Individuals with an associate degree or have graduated from a technical school are also eligible.
