Title	Entry-level IT: Application Development
Location	Camp Hill, PA Pittsburgh, PA
Description	Highmark is looking for highly motivated individuals who want to join a market leader and get a jumpstart on an exciting career in information technology. This entry-level position is for those wanting a career in application development. Applicants must possess knowledge of application programming fundamentals and have an ability to work with detailed technology information. Prior knowledge of a coding language (e.g., Java or C++) is preferred but not required.   This position is responsible for the following: * Deliver high quality application solutions for strategic advantage. * Design and develop applications in a timely manner to meet marketplace demands. * Enhance and maintain business applications in a cost effective manner. * Identify ways to improve application efficiencies and employ best practices. Job Requirements: * Must have US citizenship. * Must have achieved an overall GPA of 3.0 in their most recently completed degree program. A GPA of 3.5 is preferred. * A degree in computer or information science is preferred, but not required. Other majors are accepted. * A 4-year degree is preferred but not required. Individuals with an associate degree or have graduated from a technical school are also eligible.
