Highmark IT has a number of positions to fill at the entry level. They fall into one of three categories -- application development, business/systems analysis, and IT operations. These are the job titles, more info on each below:
· Associate IT Analyst -- Probably the most critical hiring need. More on this below.
· Associate Application Developer
· Associate IT Systems Analyst
· Associate IT Infrastructure Analyst
Associate IT Analyst -- CRITICAL NEED for applicants!
· Our premier leadership development program. Candidates must have an overall GPA of 3.5 in their most recently completed degree program before their hire date. For ex, Spring graduates need to finish with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
· This is a 2-year rotation program where employees have the opportunity to gain experience with different technologies, applications, and business processes.
· Up to 20 employees are hired each year, focusing on candidates who have (or will have before June 2) recently completed an academic degree program.
· Employees are part of one of three IT career tracks -- application development, project management/business analysis, and IT operations.
· Employees can apply to positions for one of two locations -- Downtown Pittsburgh and Camp Hill (located across the river from Harrisburg).
Associate Application Developer
· Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is PREFERRED.
· Candidates typically have academic training or professional experience with either Java or Cobol. Other possible languages include open systems User Interface tools (such as Javascript, HTML, CSS), or Oracle's PL/SQL. Preferred skills also include SQL.
· I believe we have openings at all locations, but the biggest needs for developers are in Wilmington DE and Harrisburg PA.
Associate IT Systems Analyst
· Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is PREFERRED.
· Candidates typically have academic training or professional experience with either Java or Cobol. Other possible languages include open systems User Interface tools (such as Javascript, HTML, CSS), or Oracle's PL/SQL. Preferred skills also include SQL.
Associate IT Infrastructure Analyst
· Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is PREFERRED.
· Possible areas of IT operations hired through this job title include networking, systems software administration, desktop infrastructure and support, server administration, and environment monitoring.
· Primary locations are the Data Center is Hershey PA, or office locations in Camp Hill (located across the river from Harrisburg) or Downtown Pittsburgh.
