Assistant Chief Clerk, Westmoreland County government

Vera Spina is the Chief Clerk of Westmoreland County and a graduate of Penn State New Kensington.  She contacted us with an open position in her office and welcomes applications from upcoming and recent PSNK graduates.

Assistant Chief Clerk

The Assistant Chief Clerk prepares documents, letters, and certifications, performs department receptionist duties, receives telephone complaints and acts in the absence of the Chief Clerk regarding official county records. The Assistant Chief Clerk also maintains and coordinates the scheduling of meetings and appointments for the Board of Commissioners. Position coordinates a series of special County events and programs.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or public administration and 2-3 years working experience in administration or related field, or any acceptable combination of related training and experience

Special Requirements

County residency must be established within 180 days and maintained throughout employment.
