Position Description:
This position is responsible for: Performing critical and non-standard measurements on engineered products and processes including-residual stresses, thermal, air speed, vibrations, force, strain, alignment, etc. Use electronics and computer background to design and develop measurement systems to make non-standard measurements, and write SOPs for others to follow. Typical ATC areas of measurements include- strain measurements, formability measurements, crack extension and initiation measurements, high-strain rate deformation measurements, rolling mill measurements, and temperature measurements. In addition, this person is responsible for aligning all dynamic test machines in the labs, and participating in maintenance activities in the lab. May also contribute to standard testing in one of the mechanical testing labs.
 
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of an Associate’s degree in electronics.
Good communication and organizational skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.

- Must possess good written and oral communication skills
- Must possess excellent documentation skills
Must possess good computer skills
Must have strong math skills.
Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL and other Microsoft Office products
