The Carson-Newman AmeriCorps
VISTA Fellows Program is currently seeking five AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows to
begin a term of serving in May!
The Carson-Newman AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows Program a full-time, one year, post-graduate service program
where individuals commit to fighting poverty in behind-the-scenes capacity
building work. Each VISTA is matched with a service site at an off-campus
non-profit partner where they connect the resources of our campus and the community
to further strengthen their work. Our program partners with non-profits
throughout East Tennessee and Appalachia, and is connected with national
networks through the Bonner Foundation and the Corporation for National &
Community Service. Our program provides high-impact professional development
training that focuses on the enhancement of our VISTAs personal and
professional development. Training sessions include grant writing, community
organizing, board mobilization, volunteer recruitment and sustainability and
more. Our program is very team focused and provides a variety of support to
help make the best of the service year experience. We are committed to change
in our community by developing deep, sustainable, quality community partners.

-$11, 136 living stipend
-$5,500 Segal Education Award OR $1,500 stipend at end of service
-Health coverage
-Relocation allowance (if eligible)
-Child care assistance (if eligible)
