IT Help Desk Specialist 

Summary:  
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, software and hardware.  Providing maintenance of the computer desktop/laptop/device by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk.  Responsible for internal support of the Company’s PC’s, printers, servers and related equipment.  Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades and configurations.  Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems and determines and implements solutions.

Responsibilities:     
·     Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction. Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, via telephone or electronically.   
·     Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT Helpdesk service ticket or communication system process.  
·     Monitor Helpdesk service tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first out based on priority.   
·     Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
·     Advise users on appropriate action and ensure research questions using available information resources.
·     Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings etc. for the local workstation.
·     Utilize and maintain helpdesk tracking software.  
·     Document internal procedures.
·     Install test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.  
·     Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses.
·     Report issues if escalation is required
·     Manage PC set up for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
·     Perform timely upgrades and stay current with system information, changes and updates.
·     Assign users and computers to proper groups in active directory.
·     Demonstrating a high level of customer service and communication
·     Set up computer systems in all offices as needed; includes setup of hardware as well as installation of appropriate software
·     Set up and troubleshoot printers and scanning capability
·     Perform preventive maintenance of computer systems in all offices
·     Provide computer technical support for all offices
·     Demonstrates proficiency in the use of software programs
·     Acquisition and delivery of computers and computer equipment as needed
·     Travel to office locations as required
·     Other duties as assigned
