I am reaching out to you on behalf of Outside In, Inc. We are a non-profit social service agency in Western Pennsylvania, seeking recent graduates who are interested in a career opportunity getting paid to play sports and provide mentorship to male teenage youth who are wanting to navigate life successfully.
We are looking for Youth Worker candidates, these individuals facilitate the day-to-day activities of the students within the Program; including basketball, baseball, football, weight lifting, hiking, community service projects and transporting to doctor appointments.
Youth Workers live in at work from Wednesday to Wednesday every other week. They are there when the students go to sleep and they are there when the students wake up. They participate in everything the students participate in. They breathe the same air, eat the same food, endure the same hardships, and share the same accomplishments. They get to know each student very well, and the students benefit from the consistency.
Candidates must possess the following:
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Valid Driver’s license
· Clean driving record
· The ability to secure a satisfactory criminal record check
· The ability to secure a satisfactory ChildLine clearance
· The ability to secure satisfactory references
· The desire to work with troubled teenage boys
Work schedule: Non-Traditional hours; 7 days on, 24/7, followed by 7 days off
Successful candidates have included Athletes and Team-focused individuals.
