Project Engineer

Project Engineer
This is a key service position supporting overall sales and business development efforts in the Americas. This internally and externally visible position provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to contribute to the expanding market of a leading worldwide supplier of longwall shearers, and wind turbine & industrial gearboxes.
Responsibilities:
      Assist in the strengthening and maintaining of existing relationships with key turbine manufacturers and end-users at multiple levels and disciplines (purchasing, R&D, key executives/influencers).
      Assure satisfaction of key customer accounts by supporting the development of product
and servicing & diagnostic solutions, including field visits and service activities (both up-tower and underground), borescope inspections, vibration analysis, delivery of contracted productscoordinatindocumentation workflow, quality control processes, etc.
      Support contract negotiations with key customer accounts as required, including technical information documentation, delivery timetables and after-sales service agreements.
      Utilize relationships at key customer accounts to gain a thorough understanding of the customers businesses, including operational processes, manufacturing timetables, product development and definition activities and strategic market objectives. With this in-depth perspective, assist in the development of proposals.
      Assist in the development of defined value-added functions/activities, including identifying major deliverables, budgeting and initiative planning.
      Education/Certifications:
      A bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree is required.
       Professional Qualifications:
      Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience dealing with the sales and/or service of high-value, highly-complex subsystems to large, multinational manufacturing organizations is preferred; experience serving a division of a major account as a service representative would also be of great value.
      Strong technical aptitude and a basic understanding of the mining, wind energy and/or the industrial gearbox industry are preferred.
      Language skills in German would be useful but are not necessary.
              Excellent interpersonal abilities are of the utmost importance.
              Strong analytical abilities and technical prowess combined with good oral and written communication skills.
             A self-starter with a high energy level who is self-motivated but also able to work effectively as a part of a team whether in the office, shop or field
              An good time manager, able to balance multiple projects and prioritize a broad variety of issues, initiatives and objectives concurrently.
              The candidate should be a self-confident, strongly team-oriented, high energy and demonstrate ethics, integrity and finesse in job performance.
              Ability to deliver on short timelines with minimal guidance and less than complete information.

Compensation will be in the $60,00 to $70,000/yr range.
