Job Summary:

Maintain, monitor and assist with enhancing production and non-production computing platforms to ensure constant availability, adequate capacity, good response time and system performance, and recoverability in a cost-effective manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors and troubleshoots all of the hardware and software in a narrow functional area • Evaluates and produces written recommendations for improvements in a narrow technical environment • Maintains a multi-project plan and accurately reports the status of all major assignments • Prepares all necessary authorization documentation for system outages and system modifications • Actively participates in hardware and software configuration management • Actively participates in performance monitoring and capacity planning activities • Actively participates in the development of recovery procedures • Actively participates in Disaster Recovery testing • Actively participates in hardware and software recoveries • Actively participates in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures

Job Specifications:

Minimum • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/experience Skills and Abilities • Windows Server / Domain Administration • VMware ESX • General Networking Competence • Firewall, VPN, Citrix/Terminal Server • Enterprise Storage / SAN configuration • Physical Server / Blade Server Installation/Configuration • Internet/Intranet Technologies – IIS, DNS, Security Certificates, Tomcat, Java • E-mail Administration – Exchange • Secure FTP Read more and apply at: https://careers-gnc.icims.com/jobs/15821/job
