About this opportunity:
| The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The American Red Cross is the foremost volunteer emergency service organization in the United States with more than 590 chapters nationwide. We are currently seeking a Field Representative for our Foster Grandparent Program to work in our Pittsburgh, PA location. Implements and participates in the development of initiatives to increase Red Cross visibility through Foster Grandparent (FGP) service delivery within the Chapter’s jurisdiction. Advances FGP programs to meet goals and objectives. May develop FGP program-specific objectives for new initiatives. Acts as a FGP program subject matter expert (SME) to staff, management, volunteers and external partners. Responsibilities include: Provides coordination of volunteers and stations (FGP sites in the community); Recruits, trains, and places applicants; Coordinates monthly in-service trainings; Assists with special events. |
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent background; Minimum of 3 experience in implementing and advancing social service programs; Demonstrated experience in coordinating staff and volunteer activities; Preferred 6 months - 1 year supervisory experience; Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Will involve travel.
