Supervisor Positions with Venture Outdoors
Title: 2013 Kayak Pittsburgh Site Supervisor – (5 positions available)
Location: North Shore Pittsburgh, North Park, Millvale
Reports to: Kayak Pittsburgh Coordinator
Hours: Full-time, Temporary ~37.5 hours/week, based on location
3-6 month contract; April – October, based on location
Salary: Starting at $10/hour equivalency, which can be increased based upon skills and
experience.

By encouraging everyone to participate in outdoor recreational activities, Venture Outdoors promotes the Pittsburgh region's unique natural amenities, highlights its excellent quality of life, fosters a greater appreciation for the environment, inspires an active lifestyle and creates a shared sense of community.
Overview: The Kayak Pittsburgh Site Supervisor is responsible for the daily management of Venture Outdoors’ kayak and canoe rental concessions. This position manages the day-to-day business operations including customer service, staff oversight, evaluation of all rental activities, helping to ensure that the concessions provides an excellent experience for all customers and continues to be a noteworthy addition to the Pittsburgh community. Working in cooperation with other Venture Outdoors staff, the Site Supervisor fulfills Kayak Pittsburgh’s goals and objectives as part of Venture Outdoors' overall mission of promoting outdoor recreation.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the day to day operations of the kayak concession and its staff
• Answer and return customer phone calls• Ensure that the business is maintained and in good working order
• Ensure opening and closing responsibilities are completed daily
• Ensure that all staff are trained in and able to adhere to Venture Outdoors’ policies
• Assist with other Venture Outdoors’ activities, including but not limited to regularly scheduled
programs
• Evaluate concession activities and prepare report summaries
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Attend weekly meetings with supervisors
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience
• CPR and First Aid certification desired
• Strong experience in risk management
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Customer focused
• Ability to work creatively and constructively with staff to create a team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written• High degree of motivation and initiative
• Demonstrated commitment to outdoor recreation
• Willingness and commitment to uphold all Venture Outdoors’ policies and protocols
Requirements:
• Minimum two years' experience in a management/supervisory position
• Strong management skills
• Reliable transportation to and from work site
• Good physical condition. Must be able to REPEATEDLY lift 50 pounds over your head
•Must be available for weekend, evening and holiday hours

Engineering Positions with Aerotech
Machinist Trainee
Function: To setup and operate manual or
CNC machines
Department: Mechanical Production
Overview:

Employees needed with strong math skills and mechanical
aptitude to enter a company-sponsored machinist-training program.
·
Vocation school with exposure to manual or CNC machining
a plus.
Machinist (CNC)
Function: To machine parts to tight
tolerances using CNC machines.

Experienced machinists needed for CNC Mills and Lathes.

Should have 2 years of programming and operating
experience and be able to read blueprints and other machine shop documents.
·
Mazak experience a plus.
Mechanical Assembly – Entry Level

Training provided - no experience necessary. Entry level
positions in the mechanical or motor assembly department.

Performs assembly of light material and parts or basic

Function: Programming and maintenance of
various SMT equipment

Overview:

1-5 years experience in operation, programming and
maintenance of various SMT equipment required (placement machines, screen
printers, reflow ovens, and automated inspection equipment).
·
Candidate should be familiar with PCB Assembly and SMT
Assembly processes. ASEET degree or equivalent required.
Electronic Technician
Function: Component or systems level
testing and troubleshooting.
Department: Electrical Production
Overview:
·
Applicants should have a degree in electronic technology
and 0-5 years of experience at PCB level testing, troubleshooting to component
level and/or systems level testing and analysis.
All Assembly jobs require mechanical
