VISTA job opportunity at California University of PA from July 2012-July 2013

 PACC*VISTA member will coordinate all activities related to a new initiative entitled Project SERVE (Students Empowering a Rural community by Volunteering and Educating) in the California, PA community. An integral component of this program is the Campus Kitchens Project (CKP), a food recovery and redistribution program.

The PACC*VISTA will: 1) obtain an affiliation with Campus Kitchens Project prior to establishing and promoting the project; 2) work towards increasing mutually beneficial partnerships between campus and community partners; 3) provide networking opportunities to partners; 4) Increase volunteerism with students from California University of PA to increase food access and reduce poverty; and 5) develop and facilitate workshops/trainings on the issues of poverty and food access to participants and volunteers.
