Position Responsibilities:
- Developing project requirements. Includes, participating in planning and designing sessions with customer and engineering team to determine the scope and deliverables of each project
- Customer communications during project execution and system installation
- Developing and communicating with the software team the project strategy and plan needed to achieve the project deliverables
- Monitoring and reporting progress against plan using appropriate tools. Effectively coordinating the activities of the team to meet project deliverables and deadlines
- Project scope management, identifying potential problems and taking actions to minimize issues
- Contract management, including review and negotiations of project terms and conditions, invoice management, etc.
- Tracking all issues and action items to closure
- Traveling to customer sites as necessary in planning, execution and implementation phases
- Continuing to improve project management processes and practices
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- High degree of personal accountability and responsibility
- Focus on quality and timeliness of project deliverables
- Focus on customer results from the use of the solution
- BS in technical discipline such as Computer Science or Engineering, Masters degree a plus
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in computer/software development industry or logistics management
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant project management / delivery experience in related industries, software or logistics
- Experience in an external customer focused project environment
- Background in Distribution, Logistics and/or Manufacturing
- Team player attitude, strong attention to detail, high levels of organization
- Solid communication skills and good rapport with co-workers and customers
- Ability to travel and interact with customers
- Ability to manage simultaneous projects and prioritize schedule of self and team
