Join us at the Pittsburgh
Forum on Veteran Employment for key federal and state agencies, influential
military leaders, innovators in the business and employer community, and local
community leaders followed by a hiring fair for employers, veterans, military
personnel (active, guard, and reserve), and family members. Speakers include
representatives from the Allegheny Conference on Community Development,
Chevron, PNC Financial Services, the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S.
Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of
Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Army’s Soldier for Life, the U.S. Chamber of
Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes, and corporate leaders.
November 18
PNC Firstside, 500 1st Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15219 - Need directions?
12:00 pm - 4:30 pm
• Day One of the forum, sponsored by PNC, will focus on employers – and opportunities to find motivated, skilled employees by recruiting veterans who are returning to our region or are already here.
• The event will feature panel discussions, recruiter training, and facilitated discussions focused on competitive employment practices to tap this market of ready-to-work veterans.

9:30 am - 4:30 pm (Career Fair will begin at noon.)
• Day Two, sponsored by Chevron, will bring together employers, veterans, military personnel (active, guard, and reserve), and family members for industry presentations and a career fair.
• Employers across a range of industries will be on hand to interview and recruit. Both job seekers and employers will learn about Service to Opportunity, a brand new initiative that’s matching veterans to in-demand jobs in energy and manufacturing.
