About the Agency: The Alle-Kiski Area HOPE Center, Inc. has been working to eliminate domestic violence since 1979. HOPE serves the northern portions of both Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties.
HOPE’s services include:
24/7 Crisis Hotline, Emergency Shelter, SAF-T Kennel, Transitional Housing, Crisis Intervention Services, Legal Advocacy, EPFA’s and Prevention Services.

Crisis Intervention/ Prevention Service Advocates provide direct services for men, women, and children experiencing domestic violence. In addition, they provide domestic violence awareness, education and support to the community.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide crisis intervention, support, education, options and resources to survivors of domestic violence
Present service-delivery consistent with empowerment and trauma informed care
Coordinate and facilitate life skills groups to domestic violence survivors
Ability to maintain excellent professional relationships with external collaborators
Provide prevention programming and domestic violence education to community organizations
Assist with event planning and fundraising
Assist with the development and distribution of mailings/newsletters
Must have excellent communication and public speaking skills
Must have proficient computer, data entry and online researching skills
Must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the agency
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in public speaking
Child Abuse, Criminal History and FBI clearances required
Valid PA driver’s license
