Associate Claims Specialist, Casualty

We are also currently developing a new Diverse Market Claims Unit dedicated to providing the best customer service to our clients in Spanish!  If you are bilingual in Spanish and/or Cantonese/Mandarin, that is a plus as well!

Job requirements:
What do you need to join our team?

- Energetic personality with prior experience delivering outstanding customer service.
- We prefer that you possess a 4-year degree but it’s not necessary if you have the right  background.
- An understanding that every associate at Nationwide is responsible for “selling” Nationwide services and helping the company grow and build client base.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are highly desirable.

Job description:
What does a Casualty Claims Representative do?

•Determines proper policy coverage, and where necessary, investigates, evaluates, negotiates and equitably settles all assigned liability/casualty claims cases in accordance with company guidelines. Learns to utilize best claims practices.
•Plans and executes all time schedules necessary to promptly and effectively conclude all assigned cases; adheres to high standards of professional conduct while providing the delivery of superior claims service.
•Authorizes and/or approves all claims payments within the delegated authority.
•Prepares and submits initial and follow-up reports of findings and action taken on each assigned claim in conformity with established procedures.
•Works in partnership with sales and underwriting in the acquisition and preservation of desirable risks. Advises underwriting of any possible risks.
