Internship or Part-time Paid Position with Strongland Chamber of Commerce

We are looking for one or two students who would like a chance to learn how to market memberships and other programs in the chamber. We would provide basic value information about the chamber with the hopes that a student might be able to conduct a membership campaign to build up the number of businesses that belong to StrongLand. Title: Membership Consultant

Date: 3/1/12

To: agreed upon

Responsibilities

To recruit and retain Chamber members
Contact delayed renewals
Make contact with annual membership renewals (reminder of anniversary date)
Notify members about Chamber sponsored events
Promote sponsorship and advertising opportunities with the Chamber
Develop incentive for previous members to renew their membership (invitation to upcoming events)
Study penetration rate to use for recruiting members in targeted areas
Attend Membership Committee Meeting to give status reports

Fee Arrangements:	Part-time; approximately 10 hours a week plus commission	Employment Type:	Consultant

Committee will review performance every quarter.
