Internship Opportunities with Peoples Natural Gas

Internship Parameters
$10.00/hour
12-weeks (full-time/part-time)
Student must be currently in college and completed at least their sophomore year; GPA > 3.0; specific or relevant major. Official transcripts required.
The following Internships will be offered:
o Customer Relations Intern (North Shore)
Majors: BS Business or related area – B.S.W. or M.S.W. Social Work
• Internship will consist of review of compliance related issues and compiling follow up information; assist in development of reports for Universal Service and Compliance; work with programs for payment troubled/special needs populations, including developing methods to increase third party revenues; assist in development of Customer Assistance Program.
o Budget and Planning Intern (North Shore)
Majors: BS Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business or IT
• Internship will consist of standardizing/updating financial modeling logic and building Peoples TWP schedules; monthly goal reporting; vehicle activity pricing and cost center validation audit.
o Information Technology Intern (North Shore)
Majors: BS Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science or Network Engineering
Internship will consist of replacing old desktops; assisting analysts in resolving daily PC, LAN and software issues; assisting helpdesk in answering and resolving employee problems; assisting data network group in deploying Port security throughout PNG locations.
o Infrastructure Information Technology Intern (North Shore)
Majors: BS Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science or      
Engineering
• Internship will consist of building a relational model of PNG’s SCADA and GMAS databases; validating and updating IT job aids for SAP business processes; developing script to automate user account creation in SAP
o Engineering Intern (Wilkinsburg)
Majors: BS Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Environmental, Petroleum Engineering or any engineering discipline
• Internship will consist of :
o Pipeline replacement project design/construction; distribution regulator station design/construction; recording research to validate Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure; supporting Rager Mt. major project to enhance the storage field.
o Supporting environmental compliance programs, sampling, and field inspections.
o Supporting engineering and planning for Cast Iron Replacement Program. Will also help coordinate engineering and permitting activities of engineering consultants.
