We have an internship opportunity with our Technical Support team. This internship starts in January 2012.
Our Technical Support team is the first level of support for all technical support requests. The Technical Support team provides remote help desk and onsite desktop support services to our customers.
The position requires opening trouble tickets, performing initial troubleshooting, and carrying out problem management and escalations as necessary. The ideal candidate will be expected to have the technical competency to handle first call resolution in some cases.
Job Functions
-Answers the Helpdesk phone and opens tickets coming in through Phone and Email requests. Requires routing to appropriate technician based on problem description and urgency.
-Perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting for laptop and desktop equipment.
-Provides first level call resolution if appropriate.
-Monitoring server alerts using our server monitoring software.
Qualifications
-Must have excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
-Detail oriented with the ability to consistently follow procedures.
-Able to manage multiple priorities/tasks in our fast-paced work environment.
-Previous customer service, desktop support or help desk experience is a plus.
