We are looking for an DIRECTOR OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This main role as the Department Head will be to Grow the Energy Solutions Department by working with new and existing customers to Identify and Sell Energy Solutions Projects. This position is also responsible for the departments overall operation and will oversee the project's completion to ensure that the scope of work is executed accurately, on-time and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITES:
•Sale of Energy Solutions Projects to new customers and support our current service contract base.
•Perform site walkthroughs to evaluate existing building HVAC and Controls systems to identify areas for energy savings
•Recommend and Design system and/or retrofits to achieve optimal energy savings.
•Consult customer on current available energy credits, deductions and rebates through state/federal taxes and Utility Rebates (ACT 129).
•Perform associated cost estimates, prepare/present proposals and negotiate final settlement price and customer acceptance.
•Manage costs and project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client. Maintains Gross profit goals.
•Develop criteria performance to turnover to startup technician.
•Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management as required.
•Oversee project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes and installation techniques.
•Manage the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.
•Develop and maintains viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors. Attends job progress meetings as required.
•Coordinate with the Service Team for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives. Ensures any engineering and commissioning performed by the field team is in accordance with established standards.
SKILLS:
•Effective in solutions and consultative SALES
•Effective in project estimating and management.
•Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
•Must have the ability to communicate technical material and solutions to a non-technical audience.
•Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
•Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point), AutoCAD, Visio, and basic Windows environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Associates Degree in Electronics or HVAC Technologies with equivalent work related experience.
•Technical Sales experience as an engineer and/or service technician
•Minimum of eight years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
•Management experience with projects related to DDC and ATC Systems and HVAC controls is desired.
•Must have a full understanding of typical HVAC systems such as boilers, chillers, heat pump systems, air handlers, and terminal equipment.
•Experience in dealing with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines.
