Qualifications
•
Skill in both verbal and written communication

Ability to work patiently with difficult and challenging participants who are at risk

Knowledge of Juvenile/Adult Court System
•
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
•
All three PA Clearances required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal date: PA Child Abuse History Clearance,
•
Request for Criminal Record, and Fingerprint based federal criminal history
•
PA Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation Army's
•
KeepSafe training required
•
Experience working with at risk youth
•
High School graduate
Responsibilities
•
The Bridging the Gap (BTG) aide provides clerical support of the BTG after- school & summer program for students
•
Their duties include helping students with program activities, handling administrative tasks, and interacting with students and parents
•
Assist director in preparing materials for programs or projects by sorting, photocopying, stapling, etc
•
Assist in the preparation of programs, classes, seminars and recreational activities
•
Assist in providing general information regarding the program
•
Assist in preparing routine records and reports for programs
•
Assist in custodial duties including sweeping, dusting and emptying trash
•
Any other duties assigned by corps officers
