COMETS - STEM Education Internship
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State New Kensington Continuing Education is seeking applicants for a six-month internship for the COMETS Program. This is a part-time (6-8hours weekly) paid position. Applicants with coursework experience in education, STEM related majors, or social work are preferred. The Courses on Math, Engineering, Technology and Science (COMETS) Program is a STEM initiative that introduces and supports middle school students in STEM careers.
Job Description:
- Assist the Program Coordinator in coordinating and overseeing the Program.
- Contact teachers and counselors for student recruitment.
- Assist students during monthly Saturday student sessions.
- Plan activities and lessons related to speaker careers
