The NBA is hosting its annual Hackathon and we would love to engage with your students and alumni that are interested in data, analytics and technology.
This is an opportunity to leverage NBA statistics and to showcase programming, visualization and data skills in front of many distinguished judges as well as NBA team and league office hiring managers.
Below is some additional information and background regarding the event.
On September 22nd, 2018, students, statisticians, developers and engineers will take part in the third annual NBA Hackathon.
The event will be held in the greater NY/NJ area. The 2018 NBA Hackathon will feature two tracks, basketball analytics and business analytics.
Teams accepted to the Hackathon will build tools to solve important and challenging problems in the NBA.
Their work will be presented to a panel of expert judges and an audience of NBA personnel, media, invited guests and the other competitors.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams of each track, with a grand prize that will include lunch with NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver.
