Electro-Mechanical Engineer position

Ardara Technologies L.P. is a customer oriented firm recognized for high quality design and
manufacture of electronics used with analytical chemistry laboratory equipment.
We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer with the skills to perform the following
tasks:

Electrical:
  • Ability to design Analog and digital circuitry either from scratch, or through modification of existing circuits.
  • Schematic capture and board layout for custom designed analog and digital circuit boards using Altium software.
  • Manual conversion of existing designs from Eagle software to Altium.
  • Working knowledge of CE requirements to ensure designs will meet all CE criteria.
  • Performs through hole and surface mount soldering, and mechanical assembly for prototyping.
  • Ensure assembly design meets visual, mechanical, electrical criteria of design
  • Bench Test and final test electronics products for shipment to customer.
  • Troubleshoot electronics modules, both in support of production and warranty repairs.        
  • Generate Engineering Technical Files, including assembly and test instructions for manufacturing.
  • Reads and follows written and verbal work instructions and procedures with moderate supervision
  • Flexibility to multitask depending on immediate production and design needs
  • Familiarity with programming Microchip processors in the C programming languagebonus.
  • Ability to program in Labview a bonus.


Mechanical:
  • Solid Works mechanical design of components for custom Mass Spectrometers.
  • Design parts using 3D models and sketches.
  • Generate shop drawings from 3D models.
  • Generate Assembly Drawings and Bills of Materials for mechanical assemblies.
  • Integrate documentation of new designs into Ardara’s engineering documentation system, including our inventory management software.


Requirements:
Full-time position
  • Bachelor of Science
  • Good command of the English language
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand schematics and perform basic troubleshooting would be helpful
  • Will train the right candidate for advancement.
  • No travel - No Weekends - Daylight shift
